"Blend of Gothenberg melodeath with a dirtier breed of US thrash metal"
- Decibel Magazine
Hard hitting legends in the making, Assimilator comes storming out of Indiana with a powerful sound and a newly acquired taste for touring the underground metal scene. The band is rapidly building a name for themselves as road warriors grinding across the country in the name of that next sick and twisted show.
Assimilator is comprised of former members of Midwestern United States legends Death on Fire and are from a different sonic ancestry from many of their contemporaries. 'In Flames' is perhaps an obvious point of reference, multiple listens will uncover musical references that range from Kreator to dark macabre. These diverse influences have inspired their constant content creation, and have landed them opening slots for bands such as Phil Anselmo and the Illegals, Obituary, and many more underground metal titans. This is a band who are striving to deliver the complete package of Thrash, Hardcore, and Death Metal with the drive to achieve the success they so desire.
Aiming to deliver a careful balance of tracks with appeal to a broad spectrum of extreme metal fans, Assimilator delivers a hard-hitting sound, dynamic experimentation, and homage to more traditional styles. The band draws inspiration from the established pillars of extreme metal while enhanching their signature edge with a dirtier brand of US thrash metal. Assimilator are unafraid to push the beyond and are unapologetic for striving further. The band invites you to indulge with them in this raw and intense experience as they pursue the dark and the heavy.
Assimilator is currently gearing for their debut release 'Burial Hymns' in Fall 2022, teasing the album with their new single, "Slave" being featured in Decibel Magazine and limited edition run of 7" vinyl singles to boot. Burial Hymns comes in hot off the heels of the now defunct band's 'Six Foot Box' EP and debut full-length, 'Ghost Songs'.
